Our offices are located in a typical historical building of Old Dijon called the Hotel MALETESTE.
This16th century house was the home of Jacques GODRAN, member of the Parliament of Dijon. Claude MALETESTE, also a member of that Parliament, added several imposing buildings overlooking the street in early 17th century .François MALETESTE was Mayor of Dijon in 1651. Etienne MALETESTE was King’s Advisor.
The building overlooking the street houses a Regency-style library created by MORIZOT, a lawyer who tented the house to the MALETESTE , which has been listed as an historical monument since 1924.
On the shelves, you can find a collection of 17th century law books. The library is now used as a reception room by the lawyers of Cabinet Bonfils.
You can find interesting relics of the Castrum in three cellars as well as on the second floor.
In the backyard, there is a round tower with a spiral staircase, a 16th century well and a -more recent- raised garden lined with yews.
« …Its terrace garden gives the impression of being a love garden where you would enter, stay and listen to the conversations of knights and gentlewomen »…
